Local Conservative Councillors, activists and campaigners joined traders in Strood to launch the national ‘Love Your Local Market’ scheme here in Medway.
Local Conservatives in Medway are supporting the national Love Your Local Market campaign and are encouraging shoppers in Medway to continue supporting Strood Market.
As part of the campaign, Medway Council is offering people the opportunity to experience running their own stall on Saturday 7th July for just £10! If you are an aspiring trader and would like to put your business ideas to the test, call Medway Council on 01634 333333.
Speaking at the campaign launch, Cllr Jane Chitty, member for Strood North ward and Portfolio Holder for Strategic Regeneration and Economic Growth, said:
“We’re fortunate to have such a bustling and vibrant market here in Strood. I am happy to show my continued support for local traders and small businesses here in Medway.”
Cllr Jane Etheridge added:
